Treatment

Treatment varies between patients depending on your age, fitness and diagnosis, but often focuses on releasing tension, stretching muscles and mobilising joints. Osteopathic treatment may involve adjustments to the joints, to help you return to ordinary movement and activity, and there may be an audible "click". This is perfectly normal.

Acupuncture uses very fine, single use disposable needles inserted into specific points to aid your recovery.

The aim of treatment is not only to relieve pain but to prevent the return of symptoms.

Once your presenting complaint has settled you will be given advice on how to best avoid a recurrence and how to maintain good health, posture and body use. You may be given general and specific exercises to maintain optimum mobility.

Osteopathy and Acupuncture can be combined.

Treatment is designed to meet the individual needs of each patient and is aimed at the problems that can hinder the body's natural ability to repair itself. By enabling the body to function as efficiently as possible, treatment allows the body to restore itself.
